SICHUAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
四川地震援助
After the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, the Foundation supported Shan Shui Conservation Center, an environmental NGO in China to help improve the livelihood of rural communities affected the earthquake. The program helped villagers to establish their means of livelihood by helping them to set up honey farms, walnut farms, small scale tea plantations, herb plantations and providing education to farmers on sustainable farming practices.
2008汶川地震后,基金会与山水自然保护中心合作,帮助村民建立养蜂场,核桃园和小茶园,受影响的村民得以恢复生计。两年后,基金会还帮助建立一个自由放养的土鸡养殖场和中药种植园,同时还为村民和游客提供可持续种植的学习

SRI LANKA TSUNAMI RELIEF
南亚海啸援助
The Foundation donated to the refurbishment of facilities to the Mahamodara Teaching Hospital and the Rohana School, both of which were severely damaged by the Tsunami in 2005. At Rohana School, the Foundation donated to the renovation of school faciltiies including the assembly hall, the science room and games room. It is very comforting to know that the hospital is now handling over 11,000 deliveries a year and generations of students enjoying better learning facilities.
Apart from these two projects, the Foundation also sponsored a library project at the Amunagoda School.
2004印度洋地震海啸摧毁了许多东南亚国家人们的家园。受影响的国家之一是斯里兰卡,那里的许多学校受损,孩子们失去了读书的机会 。
2005年,基金会成立了一个海啸救助基金,捐赠物资,重修位于Ahangama的Rohana Maha Vidyalaya学校。在基金会的帮助下,学校修建了一个新的礼堂,一个科技室和一个活动室,让700多名学生得以重新上学。基金会同时还为Amunagoda学校的一个图书馆阅读计划提供积极支持。
海啸救助基金还用于修建Galle的一所妇产科教学医院的设施。该医院每年为超过23,000名孕妇提供妇产服务。资金被用于候诊区的升级改造,为超过140,000名门诊病人和他们的家人提供更舒适的环境。如今,医院产科每年处理超过11,000名产妇的分娩,也为下一代医生的成长提供了更好的学习环境。
